Staff Appreciation Week: June 1-4, 2021
Each year, the university celebrates staff members and recognizes their contributions to the community during Staff Appreciation Week. Throughout the week, events and activities are planned for staff members to thank them for their dedication to advancing the university’s mission. We invite our hard-working staff members to participate in Staff Appreciation Week 2021. Be sure to print your ticket (PDF) for the staff luncheon to be held from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. in the Circle.

Bring the family for a dip in the Turner Center pool on Thursday evening! Extra lifeguards will be on staff and the diving board will be open! Please enter through the rear doors of the Turner Center.
Staff Picnic Lunch
Join Staff Council for lunch in the Circle. We will be doing a “food truck” theme with various menu options. Bring this ticket for your free t-shirt and lunch. Rain Site: Pavilion Concourse
Table Tennis Tournament
It’s GAME time! Come to the facilities management break room and participate in the 2nd annual table tennis tournament! Sign up on site at 12:30pm and tourney begins at 12:45pm!
Cornhole
Grab a partner and play cornhole in the Circle. The boards will be set up for open play.
Pickleball
The Turner Center will have 3 courts of Pickleball ready to go! 12:30-1:15p will be open play & practice and 1:15-2:30 will be a tournament format.
Plant Swap
Bring a plant or two and swap them with your friends. A limited number will be supplied by Staff Council. This year, Ann O’Dell & the Lafayette County Master Gardeners will be around for any questions & assistance. Grove Stage

*In Person Staff Awards Ceremony
The in-person portion of the Staff Awards Ceremony will be limited to those persons who will be receiving recognition for 20, 25, 30-52 years of service, team service awards, EEO category nominees and overall staff member of the year. The event will be live-streamed and the link will be shared on the Staff Council website.
Staff Members May Use The Recreation Centers Without Charge
Staff and faculty may use the Campus Recreation facilities (Turner Center and South Campus Recreation Center) for the month of June free of charge. Staff and faculty will be required to show their University of Mississippi ID at the access control stations in order to enter the facilities. A release form will need to be signed by those who are not current facility members. The fitness centers, indoor walking/jogging tracks, courts, and pool will be available for use. Please review Campus Recreation Policies for facility usage.
